„Zasłuchany Lechoń” – Ewelina Radion

At WR School, we are not only proud of our students, but also of the exceptional talents and achievements of our teaching team! We are very excited to announce that our wonderful Polish teacher, Dr Ewelina Radion, has just published a fascinating book!

Her latest publication, published by the prestigious Universitas publishing house in Krakow in 2025, is a real treat for lovers of literature and interdisciplinary research. Dr Radion has taken on the work of Jan Lechoń, an outstanding poet belonging to the inter-war Skamander group, who lived in exile from the outbreak of the Second World War until his death – the protagonist of Ewelina Radion’s book. The author discusses his work from the perspective of interdisciplinary sound studies, using the tools of cognitive psychology, music psychology, psychoacoustics and literary studies. She treats the author as a listener recording his sound impressions in poems, literary sketches and diaries. The book is part of contemporary research moving away from the primacy of vision and recognising the sense of hearing as an equal tool for learning about the world.
Dr Ewelina Radion’s success is proof that the WR School is staffed by passionate people who are constantly developing academically and sharing their knowledge. It is such inspiring teachers who create an environment where our students can develop their talents, think critically and seek knowledge outside the box.

Congratulations to Dr Ewelina Radion on this wonderful achievement! We are proud that you are contributing to science and that you are part of our WR School team.
